CABVI is seeking to fill a Shipping & Receiving Support position.  This is a full-time schedule in a union environment.  This position provides support for the Agency’s shipping and receiving functions. The incumbent will report to the Planning & Logistics supervisor. The pay rate for this position is $18.61/hour which is set by a contract and is not negotiable.

Principal accountabilities for this position include:

  • Assembles truck orders as assigned. Verifies order PO numbers, quantities, product marking, and palletization.
  • Ability to safely operate agency vehicles when required to perform material transfers between agency locations.  Will be the back up to the truck driver as needed.
  • Moves received raw materials to designated storage locations. 
  • Breaks down Gadget raw material shipments and verifies item counts per case.
  • Assist Building and Grounds in moving furniture and equipment and snow removal.
  • Assists with performing all receiving functions including, but not limited to, the loading and unloading of trailers by means of using a forklift.
  • Assists in maintaining an inventory of all goods received and shipped.
  • Work is performed in a warehouse environment and indoor, climate-controlled, industrial manufacturing environment with frequent exposure to noise, dust and dirt.  May require outdoor exposure to weather elements including heat, cold, and precipitation.
  • This position may require working outside of normal operational hours and during shut down periods.

Applicants interested in being considered for this position should meet the following minimum requirements:
- Vision required to drive trucks, forklifts, clamp trucks and hand pallet movers.
- Valid driver’s license.  Licensed or licensable to operate a Fork Lift and Clamp Trucks.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 85 pounds occasionally.
- Ability to inspect products, complete forms, and check components.
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Must have basic math skills, strong organizational skills to maintain shipping documents and inventories on a daily basis.
- Ability to accurately and efficiently enter order information into bar code system.
- Ability to work in a team environment is essential.
- Positive attitude and sense of humor a must.
