Clients of CABVI may request the services of a one on one volunteer. The One on One Volunteer Coordinator will try to match the interests and geographic locations of clients and volunteers, and assignments can be made on a once a week, once a month or short-term basis. These volunteers are available to assist in a variety of ways.
- Friendly visitor
- Read mail, magazines, catalogs, recipes, instruction manuals, or bus schedules
- Read business correspondence or text books
- Read books
- Write checks and fill out forms
- Provide transportation to the grocery store, bank, or doctor
- Help label groceries and other items
- Help organize paperwork
