Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) Elects Dennis Dern as Interim President/CEO

Cincinnati, OH – The Board of Trustees of Cincinnati Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired (CABVI) recently elected Dennis Dern, Board Chair to serve as Interim President/CEO until a national recruitment process for a new agency President/CEO can be completed.

 

Dern joined CABVI’s Board of Trustees in 2008 and has served as a Board Chair since 2018. He also served as Vice Chairman and as a member of the Audit/Finance and Governance Committees of the Board. He was the Board Treasurer from 2011 to 2016. Dern retired as technical controller for GE Aviation’s Commercial Engines Operations in Evendale, Ohio in early 2020. From 1991 to 2000, Dern worked for Chiquita Brands International, Inc., and prior to that, he was a member of Price Waterhouse’s audit and continuing education departments in their Cincinnati, Dayton and New York-National offices.

 

John Mitchell served as CABVI’s President/CEO through August 31, 2020.
